Meet Sam

Sam works with young children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. She is passionate about working within the areas of trauma, domestic violence and relationship stressors. Sam incorporates a holistic approach using interventions from various different modalities such as expressive arts, mindfulness, play, ESFT, motivational interviewing, CBT, role play, and modeling.

Sam places an emphasis on how she shows up, creating an environment that is comfortable and welcoming by emphasizing the importance of autonomy and allowing clients to take time to process their experiences and choose what works best for them. She approaches therapy with a relational focus, placing importance on building a connection with the client and modeling healthy interactions.

With eight years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing trauma, mental health challenges, and domestic violence, Sam feels that the experiences gained so far have allowed her to reflect and grow continually, adjusting her perspectives to better serve those that she works with. She has worked in a variety of settings, including shelters, private practice, and the community.

Clients seeking to work with Sam can expect an authentic and genuine interaction that includes validation and empathy for their experiences while helping them to reach their goals
