Meet Kennedy
Kennedy works closely with her clients, using a variety of therapeutic modalities and believes that each person has the ability to make significant changes in their lives, no matter the age. She works with kids, teens and young adults who are struggling with: anxiety, depression, complex trauma, PTSD, behavioral issues, problems adjusting and considers herself a LGBTQI+ ally.
When asked what clients can expect when they meet with Kennedy here are her thoughts:
Our children and teens need to be heard, they are the future. I provide that space to hear, support, and empathize with our children who are experiencing rough times like no other. I am on your side! All are welcome, and you CAN do this. I believe that what you are going though is not a roadblock or a dead-end but a point in life where you can grow into a better you. For the kids I work with, I enjoy creating and using activities to foster their growth and learning.
In working with the little kids, she incorporates a variety of client-centered play therapy techniques along with other industry standards and best practices. Kennedy is passionate about helping children, teens and younger adults feel better. Raised in sunny California, Kennedy's zest for life is brought into her sessions, something that her clients appreciate, very much. Her authentic and compassionate approach to therapy affords her clients the opportunity to explore themselves without judgement.
With a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work, Kennedy loves to incorporate what she has learned in her schooling with some of those harder life lessons, meeting clients where they are! In Kennedy's free time she communes with nature, being a lover of all things water-related and she loves to be outdoors. Her dog, Whiskey and Kennedy love to catch rays of sunshine together. They enjoy spending time near and in the water during the summer. She also enjoys camping, boating and loves all things DIY.
