Meet Cindy
Cindy specializes in working with adults, adolescents and children, supporting a safe space for recovery from life's problems and challenges in a warm and inviting way. Cindy's approach to counseling, whether individual, group or family therapy, is integrative in nature, meaning that she combines various theories and techniques to best meet the needs of each and every person that she helps along their path to holistic well-being.
She believes that each and every person is their own best authority on their own experiences and are fully capable of making change and growing as a person. She demonstrates empathy, acceptance and a genuineness that fosters a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients that supports a collaborative feel to the counseling process.
Cindy was born and raised in North Carolina and has one of the most warm and inviting approaches to therapy. She received her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montreat College and is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). Beyond her Master's degree training, Cindy has completed additional coursework in Interpersonal Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT), MBCBT, Suicide Prevention & Intervention with Suicidal Teens and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Furthermore, she is a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of North Carolina.
She has assisted clients during times of crisis and transition, grief/loss, trauma, interpersonal conflict, and school mental health issues.
